The Royal in Playa is AWESOME! You'll feel pampered and spoiled the whole time. It's a well oiled machine by this point and worth every cent. From the comfortable cabanas to the great food, to the fun staff - you'll have a blast - and there some of the best scuba/snorkeling in the area!

We have been to other all-inclusive resorts, most of which we didn't care to see again. We stayed at the Royal Porto Real for 1 week in Feb 2006 with another couple. Everything was great from start to finish! Food was excellent, service was excellent, drinks were excellent, rooms were clean and luxurious. We ate at all the restaurants and buffets and have no complaints - just congrats to all the staff for a great vacation. Only regretted going for 1 week instead of 2. For more night life we walked to Fifth Avenue where there was lots of fun and entertainment to be found.

This place is absolutely the nicest resort I have ever been too. The food was amazing and the staff is great. It is nestled right between 5th avenue and the beach. From the marble floors, to the great restaurants, to the excellent and polite staff, to the pool, it was the most unbelievable vacation I have ever had.

We just came back from Royal Porto Real on the 30 October. I was impressed to see how posh the resort was even after seeing pictures of it. There was no shortage of food or drinks and the quality was not compromised. All staff were so friendly and wanting to go out of their way to please us.
