Accommodation

 

Garden Rooms

Garden rooms consists of air conditioned rooms, each with king or twin beds, bathroom and patio or balcony.
These rooms can accommodate 2 adults.

 

One Bedroom Suites

Air conditioned one bedroomed accommodation with separate living room containing a sofa bed, kitchen, bathroom and patio or balcony. These suites can accommodate either 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children under 12 years.

 

Two Bedroom Suites

Spacious air conditioned two bedroomed accommodation with separate living room containing a sofa bed, kitchen,
two bathrooms and large patio or balcony. These suites can accommodate up to 6 persons.

 

Tree Top Suites

The two Tree Top Suites are The Sandpiper's premier accommodation. They consist of a bedroom with four poster or canopied bed, spacious living room, a dressing area and a large bathroom with a big walk-in shower and separate tub - all air conditioned.

There is a large covered terrace and open sundeck area with a pool which is approximately 12 feet by 9 feet by 3 feet deep. Featured in the living room is a television, DVD player, CD player and a selection of DVDs and CDs.

There is also a complimentary starter bar. These suites both have views of the sea and can accommodate two adults.

One of these suites has a king size bed and the other one can convert from king to twin beds if required.

 

 

 

Dining & Bars

The restaurant at the Sandpiper is renowned as being one of the finest on the island and the cuisine rates very highly, having won numerous awards. It has a West Indian theme with a limed vaulted ceiling, koi ponds and chunky trellis.

Sandpiper's Executive Chef, Christophe Poupardin, offers eclectic menus with a combination of Caribbean and International influences. Dinner menus are written daily to ensure good variety and freshness of ingredients.

A popular feature with the guests is the exchange dining program whereby guests on the meal plan are able to dine at other luxury West Coast hotels.

Lounge
There is a tastefully designed bar and lounge with a Ralph Lauren inspired theme in cool blues and whites. Guests may enjoy cool tropical drinks here in a poolside setting.

Beach Bar
There is also an informal beach bar called "Harold's Bar" located right by the calm Caribbean Sea. Named after a special member of staff, who was a recipient of the Caribbean Hotel Employee of the Year award for 2002, this bamboo fronted bar is a popular meeting place for guests.

 

 

 

Sports & Activities

There is a mosaic tiled swimming pool in the gardens, by the bar and restaurant. There are two tennis courts at the Sandpiper and there are two at our associate hotel, the Coral Reef Club. All courts are hard surface and are lit for night play. There is a complimentary tennis clinic available Monday to Saturday, between the hours of 4:00 and 6:00 pm.

Guests can play golf at the Tom Fazzio designed Sandy Lane golf course and also have access to the exclusive Robert Trent Jones Jnr. designed golf course - the Royal Westmoreland. Green fees range from US$150.00 during the summer to US$200.00 during the winter, for 18 holes. Includes golf buggy. Golf clubs and shoes are available for hire.

There is a gym at Sandpiper which carries the following "Life Fitness" equipment:
